Abstracting Interactions with IoT Devices Towards a Semantic Vision of Smart Spaces
Several instances of SemIoTic have been deployed and used in IoT spaces. At the Donald Bren Hall building of UC Irvine, building occupants have access to concierge and building analytics smart applications. Also, SemIoTic has been deployed inside a navy ship from the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in the context of the trident warrior exercise 2019. SemIoTic enabled to test applications such as the occupancy analysis of multiple regions of the ship. NAVWAR is already planning for Trident Warrior 2020, scheduled for June-August 2020 in conjunction with the bi-annual Exercise Rim of the Pacific.
